Satan does not want anyone to go to heaven. Persecution from unbelievers is Satan’s favorite tool: Mark 4:16-17 (KJV) “And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.”
Mark 13:13 (KJV) “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

By ICC’s East Africa Correspondent – Nov 16, 2018 – Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – In a Muslim populated village in eastern Uganda, Rehema lives with her grandmother after losing her recently converted father to persecution. Rehema’s mother is nowhere to be found. International Christian Concern (ICC) arrived in the late evening while Rehema was at the nearby shopping center, buying some items for her grandmother, Salima. “Rehema has been sent by my mother to go and get some sugar before darkness arrives. She will be back very soon,” Aisha, Rehema’s aunt, told ICC. “She has not been fine for months after her dad died and her mother left without a trace.” Aisha confided that Rehema’s father, Juma Hassan “died from the brutal wounds caused by the family when he left Islam and started going to a church just across the road.”

Christian Today staff writer – Nov 13, 2018 – An imprisoned Vietnamese pastor has been refused medical treatment for serious illnesses, according to International Christian Concern (ICC).
Nguyen Trung Ton was arrested in July last year with other members of his pro-democracy group, Brotherhood for Democracy. He was convicted of attempting to overthrow the communist government and sentenced to 12 years in prison. Imprisoned in Gia Trung Prison in the Central Highlands, he continues to suffer from wounds inflicted on his leg by security agents, according to ICC, and is virtually immobilised. His wife, Nguyen Thi Lanh, undertook a 15-hour bus ride to see him. She told ICC: ‘In October, me and others went to visit him, but the prison did not allow us to see him. They said due to health reasons he was unable to meet me.’ Travelling is challenging for her as she is the family’s sole breadwinner and carer. According to UCA News, Brotherhood for Democracy said that Pastor Ton told his wife on October 22 that he is suffering from a bacterial infection, kidney failure, and sleeplessness. ‘His health is rapidly deteriorating due to being kept in bad conditions,’ the group stated. When his family sent medicine for him it was returned.

Nov 19. 2018 – Iran (International Christian Concern) – Middle East Concern reports that last week two Iranian Christian converts from Karaj, which is just northwest of Tehran, were prevented from meeting by Iranian intelligence officials. It is believed that the intelligence learned of their meeting by intercepting their phone calls. The two converts had agreed to meet in Mashhad, which is in eastern Iran. Behnam Ersali was already in Mashhad when arrested by intelligence officials. Behnam was staying with a friend, whose house was raided by six security agents. While the friend was released after a few hours detention, Behnam’s location remains unknown. Behnam’s conversion was public knowledge, as he had been previously fired from his job because of his Christian faith.
The other convert, Davood Rasooli, was arrested before he had left Karaj. His house was searched and some books confiscated. It is believed that he is being held in solitary confinement and is undergoing interrogation at Rajai Shahr Prison.
