WHY IS APOCALYPSE SO IMPORTANT TODAY?

.

By editor Rita Williams – Have you noticed lately how events are described as having an apocalyptic quality? The dreaded word apocalypse is added increasingly when events are described. With many foreigners and citizens in the U.S. who have no idea what the word apocalypse means, I decided to bring it to their attention as to not be guilty of not doing what I’m called to do, to share information that God intended for people to know. He wants nothing more than for us to be able to make decisions based on basic understanding of what is going on from a spiritual perspective. In general many have heard the word Armageddon because it relates to a place in Israel and is addressed in the Bible in Hebrews 16:16 “And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon” (KJV) . The word apocalypse is not in the Bible nor does it relate to Armageddon.

.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN APOCALYPSE AND ARMAGEDDON?

.

By Stephen Motyer – There is some overlap with apocalypse. Armageddon (in Greek) is the hill in Israel where the final battle between the Christian Messiah and Satan is to take place at the end of time, the Last Judgement. The word appears only once in the Bible, so says Wikipedia, in the book of Revelation. (Apr 9, 2011)

.

[Ednote: This article is an example of the confusion taught on Internet. How can the battle at Armageddon be fought by the Christian Messiah and Satan, when Jesus Christ appears at the end of the Tribulation when He retrieves the Remnant of Jews and begins to run the Millennium..I was told Wikipedia is unreliable and here it is. The battle is not at the end of time. The Bible teaches that there will be a thousand-year Millennium after Armageddon. Neither is it the last Judgement. There is a “Great White Throne Judgment at the end of the thousand-year Millennium. As far as the word Armageddon is concerned it is only once mentioned but not in the Book of Revelation but in Hebrews 16:16. End of Ednote]

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN APOCALYPSE AND A CATACLYSM?

.

Stephen Motyer continues: I’ve been told that an apocalypse is an act of God, but we seem to use it as a generic term for any grand disaster. What is the difference in original and current usage?

.

Apocalypse means “revelation” in Greek, from Greek (kalupto) “hide” and – (apo-) “un-“. It was so used in the New Testament: the last book is called in Greek, Revelation of John, in which the Last Judgement is revealed to John, the time when the Christian God will end human existence as we know it. From this, apocalypse gained its secondary modern sense of Armageddon, the end of the world by the forces of nature or God. In this way it is now most often used. It now means a disaster so great that it will probably destroy most of mankind, and possibly the entire universe..Cataclysm comes from Greek (kataklusmos), “deluge”, from (kluzo), “wash away, flood”, and (kata-), “down”. It refers to the flooding of all Earth, usually by endless rains and rising rivers, as it is told in the story of Noah’s Ark in the book of Genesis in the Old Testament. Note that this myth also exists in many other Oriental cultures.

.

In many cultures, possibly including Judaism, this is a recurring event, by which time is cyclically ordered in periods of growth and subsequent destruction. It now means a great, uncontrollable disaster, but not necessarily so great as to destroy civilization. It should have significant destructive impact within a certain environment. There is some overlap with apocalypse..Armageddon (in Greek) is the hill in Israel where the final battle between the Christian Messiah and Satan is to take place at the end of time, the Last Judgement. The word appears only once in the Bible, so says Wikipedia, in the book of Revelation. Similar stories about a battle on a mountain at the end of time already existed in Jewish lore before Christ, and were also adopted by Islamic prophecies. Armageddon is used as a near-synonym of apocalypse in modern English; I don’t see any difference except that it has a slight connotation of violence and struggle, whereas apocalypse is slightly more abstract, “cleaner”. In most contexts there is no difference.

.

WHY THE ERRONEOUS CONCLUSIONS?

.

[Ednote: The flood relating to Noah’s Ark was very specific not endless and only happened once because God promised it would never happen again. (Gen 9:11) Next time it would be fire instead of a flood. Here is an example in Gen 19:24. Apocalypse is not an act of God since it doesn’t occur in the Bible. The dictionary online states: apocalypse is a noun 1. the complete final destruction of the world, especially in the biblical book of Revelation. 2. an event involving destruction or damage on an awesome or catastrophic scale i.e. “a stock market apocalypse”.

.

Nowhere in Revelation is a “Last Judgment” mentioned. Rev 14:7, 17:1, 18:10 and 20:4. Judgment is against 1) those who did not fear God and took the Mark of the Beast, 2) against the whore on many waters (the Vatican) 3) the Great City Babylon, 4) and those who beheaded believers who did not take the Mark of the Beast. Obviously God did not end human existence, as we know it in the Book of Revelation. The author calls the story of the flood and Noah’s Ark a myth, which it isn’t.  I live in Colorado and there is plenty of undeniable evidence of the flood at the Red Rocks that those mountains were submerged in water totally at one point in time.

.

Time is recorded in the Bible by using Genealogy carefully. The Bible recorded death and age dates from Adam to Jesus that also works perfectly. There is nothing cyclical about it. One either believes in Creation or Evolution. Believers who believe in God believe that God created this world approximately 6,000 years ago. People go to Israel to excavate buried artifacts and much is available for us to examine and understand how primitive their way of life was. Also looking at the European history of life and trade, the ships they used, the Cathedrals they built, it quickly becomes evident compared it to our lives, how old the world really is.

.

Not all mankind die during the tribulation. What’s called the Seal Judgments are in Rev 6:8 “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.” The Trumpet judgments in Rev 9:18 “By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.”

.

According to the Old Testament Zechariah 13:8-9 “And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.” Another is that Armageddon is not a hill, it is flat land as far as your eye can see.

.

The author was comparing apocalypse with a cataclysm and wrote that there is no difference? He compares apocalypse to be the same as the information in the Book of Revelation which is viable since apocalypse is a cliche’ more or less used to remind people of God’s plan but cataclysm is not interchangeable with Revelation. The definition: noun – “a large-scale violent upheaval especially in a political or social context “the cataclysm of the First World War””.

.

The Book of Revelation addresses a seven-year period of events that start with a Covenant made by the Antichrist assuring peace and safety that many agree to. That promise is broken by war, which brings on famine, financial depression and the mandatory Mark of the Beast to buy and sell. That’s half way into the Tribulation. Those who refuse to take the chip implant will be beheaded. The Antichrist reveals himself to be god himself in the third temple built for him..The fact that the Antichrist declares himself to be “god”, enrages God the Father of Jesus Christ. God pores out His wrath on all the heathens that took the Mark. Only the disobedient people were left. The Christians who refused the Mark were beheaded. This can be considered what is called apocalyptic.

.

The Satanic influence (black matter from the demonic realm) will be released to earth. Satan still had to report to God until this time. God turns Satan lose. The world will be like a drunken sailor rolling turning mountains into flat land and vice versa. People will receive boils and are bitten by scorpions and will want to die and can’t. This culminates into Armageddon. The people left including 200 thousand enemies will be blinded and kill each other. The blood will flow knee deep..The author continues with an analysis of how to understand these writings from a modern worldly perspective and not to take it too serious. Truly dedicated believers take it extremely serious because they have a personal relationship with God and have experienced His punishments for disobedience and His blessings for obedience.

.

To get an understanding of how God operates in our lives is to analyze experiences especially unexpected surprises. The ‘timing’ is usually a key to realize that we are not alone. The Bible is not open to people who do not have the Holy Spirit. There are Scriptures that do have to be interpreted with the help of the Holy Spirit. He is the teacher. Satan is the author of lies and as shown on this blog, the only way for me to share what I am privy to is by sharing videos created by concerned believers being obedient to God. Please tell your family, friends and neighbors about us. Time is getting extremely short, as you will discover by what has happened already.
